Our Experience

I absolutely love this spot. You can order this dish (Garlic Shrimp) at either the Island Vintage Coffee or the Island Vintage Wine Bar. These two restaurants are the same kitchen and are side-by-side. The coffee shop is a bit more of a casual ambiance. The wine bar is a bit quieter and more middle-of-the-road.

My personal preference is the Island Vintage Wine Bar. Though, if you are really hungry – you can go with whichever restaurant has the shorter line. It's the same kitchen, same spot 🙂

Location

Island Vintage Coffee Waikiki is located on the 2nd floor of the Royal Hawaiian shopping center. You can order at either the cafe itself – or my personal favorite, the Island Vintage Wine Bar right next door (same restaurant).

You'll take the escalators (or elevator) to the 2nd floor of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. There's two restaurants side-by-side.

Favorites

I absolutely LOVE their garlic shrimp. It runs around $30 for the entree which comes with garlic shrimp split open seasoned with garlic, rice, and salad. You can opt for white rice or brown rice. I loved the brown rice – it's more of a blend rice not just the regular brown rice – and is flavorful. The salad comes with a vinaigrette dressing. I usually ask for salad dressing on the side so I can put on as much as I like.

Know Before You Go

It does get busy during dinner hour. You can make a reservation for Island Vintage Wine Bar on OpenTable. If you're going on a busy weekend night (Friday or Saturday), reservations are recommended to reduce wait time.
