Location

Marugame Udon is located in the center of Waikiki. There's a few other locations but this one is the most popular. If you've walked past the International Marketplace at dinner time, you've probably seen the long line. The line does indeed go around the block but it moves quick.

Favorites

I love the sweet beef udon! It runs around $10 for the regular and $11 for the large. Other yummy options include KITSUNE (Regular $7.95, Large $8.95) and their KAKE (Regular $5.85, Large $6.85).

Where you'll probably end up spending a bit more is for the add-ons. You can add-on shrimp ($2.25), zucchini ($2.00), imitation crab, and lots more. It's easy to just grab a bunch and next thing you know your $7 udon ends up being $20 – when your eyes are bigger than your stomach.

My go-to is buying just 1 regular size udon and adding on 1-2 extras. I like their shrimp and the imitation crab.

Know Before You Go

If you'd like to skip the line, go there for lunch or an early dinner (around 4:30-5:00pm) instead of peak time 6:00pm-8:00pm where the wait time can be about 30-45 minutes.
