Star of Honolulu: BEST Signature Menu + Fireworks
Honolulu, Hawaii. This was the BEST way to see the Friday Firework show and the most delicious menu. The SIGNATURE menu is the FINE DINING option on the Star of Honolulu dinner cruise – and it did not disappoint!
From start to finish, the entire experience was a fun one! And, if you've been following Yes to Hawaii for a bit, you'll know that I love food.

Our Experience:
The SIGNATURE menu is served on the top deck of the Star of Honolulu. The best part? The top deck has a private outdoor area to catch the firework show so it isn't as crowded as the rest of the decks. The top deck also has jazz music mixed with Hawaiian and Polynesian dancing.
The Menu
And now for the best part – the food!
1st Course: Appetizers
Right when we walked in, we had a Cheese & Charcuterie Board waiting at the table. This charcuterie board had a mix of meats, cheese, veggies, fruits and nuts.
2nd Course: Lobster
The Nova Scotia Maine lobster was delicious. It was paired with beet carpacio salad made of locally grown vegetables. The vinaigrette dressing was sweet but not too sweet.
3rd Course: Intermezzo
Seasonal fruit sorbet. This was a palette cleanser between the lobster and steak.
4th Course: Steak
USDA Prime Tenderloin of Beef. Say less. The steak was drizzled with a demi sauce and paired with truffle mashed potatoes and veggies. I loved the mashed potatoes. The flavor was 10 out of 10.
5th Course: Dessert
Chef’s Special Dessert. Loved this desert! The cheesecake was paired with fruit and berries. It was sweet but not too sweet. The presentation was really nice though I do wish the portion would have been bigger. It was only a few berries.

Overall Review
The experience was amazing. The service was a bit slower than anticipated – we waited a long time for our drinks. Oddly, everyone else around us were served drinks and we had to call over the server several times. It wouldn't have been an odd thing – if everyone else wasn't served too. But instead, all the tables served – except us. It seemed like we were a forgotten table.
Add-on: Cake
I added on this celebration cake to give it a try. And it was…terrible. The flavor was nonexistent and tasted so bland. The frosting looks rich but had 0 flavor. I wouldn't recommend the cake.
Insider Insights & Tips
With this SIGNATURE menu option, all tables are private tables. We upgraded to get the WINDOW seating and I would recommend the window seating. The view is so much nicer and if it's something you're going to splurge on, it's a good choice. The WINDOW seating is called the “Celebration Plan” and comes with a photo souvenir too.
